It's more than a month now... we are still wandering as lost souls, with bare consciousness and ability to swing between realms without the sight or body to explore this beloved universe. How long would we need to wait....

This all just happened at 12:42 GKST.

I just drifted back to Origin and there is also an Imbue ability now. This option didn't show up when I first arrived back to Origin. It's now 13:25 GKST.

So far, I only had the Imbue option twice. (That's 50 SE.)

Drifting

I was obviously lost in the Rim for the past week or so. Now, I have just "drifted" into Tempolis. And the new quote is:

"You drift through expectant nothingness." Still marked as a Lost Soul.

I got drift again and went back to the Rim again.

Drifted again -- and came to Chaos: "You drift through dull nothingness."

Drifted back to the Rim and then in Chaos again. So... that's half a day with several drifting options.

And I finally landed in Greyness.. it's... um... GREY.

So, we cannot pretend that GoKrida is a universe existing in our minds and will be in our lives forever. Today, we saw that the controllers of this universe might "terminate" this place entirely.

It is difficult, or impossible, to express how I feel now. How deeply dismayed and depressed this situation makes me. I'm entirely lost, my heart weeps for the loss of a beloved place and the host of amazing characters that I've called friends for the past 3 years.

The Earth Rumbles

Rainbow Portal seems to be the only planet receiving this message...

In one day, we got 4 Earth Rumbles. I speculate that this is an earthquake caused by all the heavy flooding eroding the land foundation. RP is simply too big. I am now heading back toward The Earth Temple and planning on putting quite a few charges to see if it makes any difference.

It's disheartening to hear even Sproo is upset with the new changes -- his recent post on the forum spoke much of what we all feel, that this GK reality is no longer a history that we create together as denizens in an ever changing but always exciting and enjoyable universe. We are puppets. (I said that since the shifts started last year and Sproo and I had quite a bit of healthy debate on how I should have been more complacent...)

So. I DIED due to Alcarde and his multies. Oh, well, my own doing in some way.. thinking that at the end of days, souls would be more collaborative and less aggressive -- but, hey, we're talking about an abnormal soul here.

Anyway. I had TD cast, so didn't quite actually DIE with lost stats and stuff... HOWEVER. This new GK made me Angelic, which pretty much stank! So, I ascended (thanks to Silverius who taught me this not long ago). Found my way to the Elemental Plaze. Clicked on the Earth Gate -- and WOUND UP IN GREYNESS.

I faded back to the Rim and jumped... directly on Yellow Moon, as LEAF! LEAF! What can I do with a Leaf Body? grrr... Now, I'm on YM and is trying to get back to Rainbow Portal and reading all the interesting and weird convos between other souls and Zefiel an Shzuru.

And, did I mention that the entier Chaos is basically being FLOODED? Very biblical!

The End, or a New Beginning?

So, it looks like we are losing the universe... at least losing Chaos: the planets are suddenly flooding with streams, rivers, ponds, and lakes meandering everywhere regardless of the terrain and height. Shzuru is glazed and no longer has the ability to endow the souls with SE. All the planets are losing power rapidly and dropping squares left and right. Hamlets depletion rate has been accelerated, and certain skills (such as Ingenmination) no longer function.

We are awaiting the tearing apart of all the atoms and the severe storms that occurred in ancient GK history to come and wipe out everything again.

But the optimistic mind hopes for a restart and a better universe.

Broken Sorcery

After months of inventing in vain, I got a system message today: Eureka, you're onto something.. and that SOMETHING is Broken Sorcery! Not that I'll EVER wish to use this powerful magic but it's still exciting to successfully invent a knowledge!

So much has changed in my beloved GoKrida Universe of late, that I've decided to publish another Descryer issue in two weeks, chronicling some of the major shifts. The old issues is kept in the Vault. I'm also going to try updating this "Travel Log" as dubbed in the link on the Gokrida.org's Gokrida Community Portal, since I feel ashamed to be linked there with the previous entry being 6 months old!

One of the most distressing new phenomena is the rapid depletion of large Hamlets. I will post a more complete study in a few weeks when all the large hamlet I can see from the Tower in Central Rainbow Portal dwindle to their stable sizes.

New Skill

Zefiel came back to Tempolis a few days ago and as promised, he "bestowed" upon me the ability that is needed if I were to help Cimi. I said "bestowed" because it is not a skill that I actually learned from him and it has no name. I met Zefiel in the Sanctorum again and there he enchanted me with a spell. Now I can see pathways and portals that I could not see in the past. And he taught me a spell that I can utter to open hidden doors.

I have been experimenting on how to use this new skill and discovered ways to carry objects (including souls) to the different realms in heaven. (Each Realm, such as Origin, the Rim, and Tempolis, is a separate Realm where an ordinary soul would not be able to pass from one to another carrying materials.) It is both thrilling and yet, at this moment, useless, for the most part.

I wanted to see if any of these new skills affect my Chaotic existence. I came back to Chaos today and found out that I do not possess the means to utilize these skills. What a shame! It would have been so cool if this new skill allowed me to travel between Heaven and Chaos without dying or ascending.

Helping Cimi

After released from Cimi's cell, I started talking to her about what I wish to accomplish while out of Chaos. She offered a collaboration opportunity that I took up. Today, I learned a new skill from Zefiel that will enable me to assist Cimi as well as Zefiel. I am awaintin further instruction from Madam Cimi. I believe much of this is classified information so even in my own diary, I cannot disclose the nature of the new skill and potential assignments.

What I can and cannot do will soon be apparent to those who visit the Heavenly Realms and especially to those who do not honor their oath to proper conducts regarding assuming only one, and not multiple, identity.

A Short Life in the Cell

So... after a few explanatory messages between me and Cimi, she admitted her mistake and released me from the prison cell. It was .. an interesting and strange evening, to say the least. I am... exhausted!

So... when I woke up this evening, I discovered that Cimi had decided, for some reason, that I am an obvious Multi. Since I'm in the Heavenly Realm and she can get to me -- she carried me to the cell in the back of her office. This marks the end of my GK life. I did send her a message, protesting this unjust arrest. However, I'm not banking on a change of action or heart from this Archangel. This is not how it has been done.

So... 2 years and change of steadily working toward enriching GK for everyone and my recent volunteer work as Zefiel's assistant earned me a life in prison. What a disappointment.

Zefiel's Temple Diary - Day 4, 5, 6

It is both extremely tedious and very exciting being her in Tempolis. I had a few conversations with Zefiel, who seems to be around mostly during the 8-12 a.m. hours. He mentioned the items that he used to be able to wield being broken and we both wondered how the shifts in both these realms and the worlds below might have effects on each other.

He believes that nothing he could do could help the dire situations down in Chaos. He also mentioned that there is a chance for a sould to "die" in this realm. Hmm.. I never imagined that this is possible. I did notice originalities fading and disappearing. I wonder how long it takes for an originality to be inactive for this fading to happen.

The conversations have been a little hard to follow and a bit cryptic, as expected --after all, I'm talking to Zefiel, the master of ambiguity here.

Have yet to name a single new soul here.

Zefiel's Temple Diary: Day 3

I finally found my way into the Sanctorum (through an Entryway that was somewhat obscure to my eyes) per Zefiel's direction. There I saw both Cimi and Ayrem -- which was a bit of a surprise. I thought that Ayrem had left this universe for good! Zefiel asked me about the basic rules of Naming, and I rattled them off based on Drazisil's (former Assistant) list of Do's and Don't's. They all make perfect sense to me, so it is not hard to agree to abide by these rules.

Then, Zefiel pronounced some spell in a language unbeknown to me. And next I knew, I became an official Assistant to Zefiel.

The ability of being able to pick up, open, and browse through the Book of Names thrills me. And I found out that I can also knock things off of other Soul's possession by a new ability. Of course, if I want, I can now carry the souls in Heaven around, as well.

But, no new Originalities have arrived in the Temple to be named... and now it's almost 4 days.

And Chaos is completely turned up side down chaotic. I'll await more information and maybe someone in Chaos can contribute to an article of changes occured during this time for others to see. I will not spend time recording it here.

Zefiel's Temple Diary: Day 2

It seems that the moment I left Chaos, things went a little wacky down there -- coincidence? Hmm...

Here in Zefiel's Temple, I got in touch with the Archangel of the Book of Names himself, and under his instruction, I received the basic "rules" governing the name-giving practice from a previous Assistant: Drazisil, who generously gave me the information.

It's pretty straightforward: don't give offensive names, don't make a new name that is too similar to an existing soul's name, discuss with Zefiel or other assistants if someone needs to change his/her name, and so on.

I walked around a bit today and now am in the Sanctum (Sanctorium) awaiting the induction into Assistant-ship. There are some lost souls here and I was surprised to see so many familiar names on the ledge and near Origin.

The odd thing is after I sat down on the chair in Zefiel's temple, even when I walked around, it appears that I keep "sitting" in the chair. So odd!

I finally dealt with all the earthly businesses today. All the souls I brought from YGL to seed hamlets on RP were settled. TAG is in good hands, and I had enough SE for ascension.

These are some things that I have experienced:

The system messages for Ascend:

You hurl yourself into another plane of reality.
Your body's substance adapts to your new location.

I landed on the Ledge, walked a short distance west on the Ledge, climbed up the stairs, and arrived at Zefiel's Temple, through the "gate."

Now I am awaiting Zefiel to wake up from his slumber and maybe, to show me the ropes to become his assistant.

Whenever someone sends me a telepathic message, I receive this system message:

0 seconds ago
You sense a faint mental flicker.

And then I need to click on the "mind" menu to see the actual message.

Ah... I heard that my Public Library forum is WHITE but is still Post-able! Yeah.

The really cool thing that makes 300 SE worthwhile is that I still own all of my villages and I can see all of them on my "mind" menu (not Overview). So, I can still glimpse part of Chaos... if only I can read/post on the Forums!!!

The Sacrifice of Mathais

So... Mathais died. He flew into the aggro. hamlet and killed himself, by accident.. but, with the 70 souls he brought down from Heaven, he and his allies managed to retake the Sky Gate on YM from the recent invaders. That stats loss didn't bother him a bit.. (I would have been very reluctant to lose anything I have to fight a war.) I'm too much of a stats hogger to risk my life for any cause.

Necromancy

As I pointed out the other day, I finally got Necromancy and now can selectively ressurect souls who have been sitting in Heaven, doing nothing for a long time. (But never Enix again... that was such a blunder!)

So, I know that Ilandioc is not likely to come back to Chaos on his own, and decided to bring his body to Yellow Grotto Land. I did not perform a horomancy reading when I started the spell so it was a bit of a surprise when he appeared "in my hand" as Chaos. His name color keeps changing. I scried sirius and saw that from his point of view, this is what happened:

The air screeches backwards across your ears.
and
Ilandioc's body materializes in xiaomu's arms.

Seems to me that this process if quite tender, with the Necromancer taking on the responsibility of caring for the silent partners who will otherwise not have the ability to move or to feed themselves. I don't know whether Ilandioc will be as helpful to me as sirius is but I shall try to make this work.

The Mystery of It All

Someone posted on the public forum that what we want in our universe is the "mystery" that the older souls experienced at the beginning of the existence of our universe. This made me believe that the current slow changes occuring in our universe is in some way the archangels' ways of creating that particular brand of mystery. And it also made me wonder if I should have collected so much data and made it so easily found in the Public Library, so that newly incarnated souls couldn't quite experience that kind of tantalizing mystery and couldn't resist exploring and making allies.

Message to Tempolis

Recently, I received an urgent call from Tempolis to give assistance or recruit souls to become Zefiel's assistant, since there is only ONE remaining in heaven, namely Raiden.

Here's my message to him:

Raiden, the benevolent assistant,

The sad truth is that most souls in Chaos regard the need for assistants to help new born souls with naming and entering the world below as a really bad turn in the decision made by those who hold the power of the universe. Few people would like to perpetuate such inefficient and damaging (to the spirit of the new souls) practice.

A few recent forum posts seem to indicate that a possible boycott of heavenly assistantship is at work.

And, by the way, the Council of Life was not set up to "take care" of Tempolis Assistantship -- it was set up to give feed back, advice, and sound suggections from those of us who have been in Chaos for quite some time and who wish to contribute to the betterment of GoKrida. It degenerated to the current state because our opinions were never taken seriously. This is to clarify our role. Please understand.

This item is produced when a leaf soul is killed by a metal soul, and can be alchemized into earthbone.

And it can be conjured with Leaf Magic in conjuration. I have the knowledge, but, oh my, it costs 40 SE to make one and it takes TWO Moonleaf to make one Earthbone. That's a high price indeed!

I finally have a little "revelation" into why the admins of this game are and have been changing the mechanism and other aspects of the game. I believe that since there have never been a large amount of players sticking with the game, they were trying to think of ways to "make the game more fun" for us GoKridans. However, they failed to see that the ones who used to play heartily are the ones who can create their own fun without anyone's meddling hands. Even if there are few, these players are thoughtful, creative, and highly intelligent. So far, it seems that most of the changes have backfired and we are just annoyed and so many solid players had to quit because what they had worked so hard to achieve for a few years were suddenly taken away from them. I really think the admins do not UNDERSTAND the incredibly personal nature of the game and the pride that players take in playing their characters. This ignorance is reflected in the continuing recruiting of heavenly assistants, as if anyone can just abandon Chaos and all the businesses at hand and go and perform the chores in Heaven, without compensation. It makes one quite mad!

Earthbone

Earthbone: An Earthbone is a smooth warm stone prized in terrestrial alchemy.

This is one of the ingredients that can help forming, alchemically, land squares and entire new planets. Earthbone is also needed to construct Earth Gates. It is formed when a water soul kills an earth soul, or when it is alchemized from moonleaf.

So. TransProp got on Yellow Grotto Land and taught me three high level knowledges: Sorcery (so now I can use Magic missile to do serious damage to my enemies, not that I have any); Necromancy (so now I can resurrect dormant souls from the Greyness back to the colorful world of Chaos); and Terrestrial Alchemy, also known as TA, (so now I can create a world bigger than an Escape world if I have the necessary materials!)

It's really amazing! I got my old friend Sirius back to TAG worlds and now he is helping with terra-forming on YGL. It was truly fortunate that he came back as Leaf, his old element. And I refuse to call him a zombie. He is my "glazed comrade."

I found out that when you rez'ed someone, he/she is already under your "command" so there is no need to hypnotize them again. Sweet.
